Amazing Homemade Bread Crumbs Recipe
Ingredients:
1 French loaf
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp kosher salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried rosemary, ground
Tools needed:
Sharp bead knife
Cutting board
Mixing bowl
Baking sheet
Food processor (or a ziplock bag and rolling pin to crush bread)
Oven of course
How to make it:
Preheat oven to 350 f.
Cut french loaf into crouton size pieces. Place bread into a mixing bowl and add all ingredients. Gently toss to evenly coat bread with oil and seasonings. Lay bread in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes. I turn the pan around and mix the bread up half way through the cooking time to ensure that the bread gets dried evenly (my oven doesn’t heat evenly).
Once bread is nice and dried, allow to cool. Place bread in a food processor to break it up into bread crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, place the bread pieces in a gallon ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
You now have homemade bread crumbs!
