Extra spicy habanero compound butter
Ingredients:
1 c unsalted butter, softened
2 habaneros, rough chopn(I used fermented habaneros Recipe here)
1 tsp cumin
I tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Tools needed:
Mixing bowl
Sharp knife
Rubber gloves
Cutting board
Wire whisk
Parchment paper
Rubber spatula
How to make it:
In a large mixing bowl, add softened butter, salt, spices, oil and vinegar. Mix to combine with wire wisk. Add rough chopped habaneros and oregano, fold into the butter with rubber spatula. Using your rubber spatula, scrape butter out onto flattened parchment paper. Roll the butter up in the parchment paper to make a log shape. Refrigerate for 3 hours to solidify.
I use this served on tops of steak,, cooking eggs, when sauteing vegetables and in pasta!
