Carolina Reaper Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce
Ingredients:
1 c yellow mustard
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp ketchup
1/4 c maple syrup
2 tbsp hot sauce, (my homemade Carolina reaper used in the video)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
Pinch kosher salt
Tools needed:
Small stock pot
Wire whisk
Mason jar with lid
Measuring cups and spoons
Rubber spatula
How to make it:
I used my homemade Carolina reaper hot sauce in this recipe. The sauce is lacto fermented for an even greater flavor. Check this video out to see how I make it.
Add all ingredients to the stock pot and bring up to a simmer over medium heat. Once simmering, reduce heat to medium low and keep at a gentle simmer for 10 minutes. Cool slightly and pour bbq sauce into the mason jar or other glass dish.
Stays good for 2 months in the refrigerator.
Goes great on chicken, ribs and pork! I brushed this on the outside of a whole chicken, added some seasoning and smoked the chicken on my offset smoker. It was a very delicious chicken with some nice flavor. My recipe will be here soon. Click the highlighted text when ready.
Enjoy
