How To Make Berry and Pear Compote
Ingredients:
1/2 c fresh cranberries
1 pear
1/2 c blackberries, blueberries or raspberries
1/4 c granulated sugar
2 c water
1 cinnamon stick
Put cranberries, sugar and cinnamon stick in a small stock pot. Stir sugar to dissolve.
Toss in cut up pear. Bring up to a boil and reduce heat to medium low for 15 minutes or until cranberries start to pop and pears are softened.
Toss in berries. Shown is blackberries.
Turn off heat and cover with a lid. Let stand for 15 minutes. Best served warm. Place extras in refrigerator in a container with lid. Stays good for 3-4 days. Enjoy!
