These ribs go perfectly with this maple habanero hot sauce!
Super tender, juicy fall off the bone goodness is where it’s at with these ribs.
Ingredients:
1 rack st louis style ribs
-Rib rub
3/4 c salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 t cumin
1 T ea chili powder and paprika
1 T ea garlic powder and onion powder
1/4 c brown sugar, lightly packed
Tools needed:
Mixing bowl
Parchment paper
Aluminum foil
Baking sheet
Pairing knife
How to make it:
On the underside of the ribs, score the ribs through the silver skin with a sharp pairing knife. Optionally you can remove entirely.
Make the seasoned salt and rub onto the ribs generously. Wrap the ribs in parchment paper and aluminum foil. Place in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
The next day:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place the ribs into the oven and bake for 2 hours. After the 2 hours, unwrap the ribs and brush the top with some bbq sauce or my maple habanero hot sauce recipe. Place back into the oven and bake and additional 25-30 minutes. The sauce will caramelize slightly. Keep an eye on is as the sauce burns quickly since it has maple syrup in it if you use my maple habanero hot sauce.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes before cutting the ribs into individual rib pieces.
Enjoy!
